About us
The Lake Como Summer School in Critical Theory of Society is brought to you by the organising group of the postgraduate course in Critical Theory of Society at the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy.
The group—informally known as gruppo MIR, or “MIR group”—consists of scholars, students, activists, and independent researchers working in the tradition of Marxism and critical theory, broadly understood.
The group strives to create strong international ties with people who are equally convinced that critical theory should be brought to bear on current affairs. The summer school is part and parcel of this effort.
